RUSSIAN SUPPORT FOR WORLD TITLE DEFENSE

Hello again,

It's been a crazy week for media events, what with several newspaper articles & a local BBC interview, but I wanted to show you a photo I had taken during the Euro's. This is a guy called Vladimir Sushchak who is a Russian strongman & champion whom I met in Bendigo last year during the World Championships; Vladimir doesn't speak much English but congratulated me on my World titles with the words 'you did good, English' and a hearty slap on the back that nearly broke ribs! I was pleased to meet him again in Switzerland & look forward to seeing my new friend when I defend my World titles in Italy this October; the photo shows him congratulating me after I announced that I would not be retiring from the sport just yet!!

I a little bit of special news for you - I have been informed by my current employer & Euro sponsor, Delphi Diesel, that I am to be presented with a special achievement award by none other than the vice president of Delphi Corporation, Mr Guy Hachey. The presentation is taking place on Wednesday 30th May at the Delphi Heavy Duty site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire & local press will be in attendance. Once again, I am honoured by the support from Delphi & recognition from the vice president is very flattering, as well as being very much appreciated.
